By letters patent, 1 February 5 Edward IV, King granted to Nicholas Gaynesford, Usher of King's Chamber, messuage in Netherburnham, messuage, 2 cottages, 234 a. land, 6 a. meadow, 12a. wood, 6 a. marsh, 71s. rent in Netherburnham, Upperburnham, Westwode, Custon, Eppeworth, Estlande and Haxay, in Isle of Axiholme, co. Lincs., and 16s. rent in Mesterton. Acquired by Richard, Prior, and Convent of Carthusians in Isle of Axiholme, from previous owner, John Custon, clerk. Pardon of trespass. Tested at Westminster. Great Seal.
