Letters patent inspecting letters patent of Henry IV inspecting letters patent of Richard II inspecting charter of confirmation of Edward III to Abbot and Convent of place of St. Edward inspecting charter of Henry III granting one skin of wine of prise of Southampton. Witnesses, 28 February 24 Henry III (cf. C Ch.R., I, p. 250). (2) Charter of Edward I inspecting a charter of Henry III confirming lands of Litteley, Hune, Welwe, Totinton, Gumeshulne, Nordeley, Deueralkyngeston and Süthwerk, 100 a. land in manor of Shire and advowson of church of manor. Witnesses, dated at Westminster, 7 March 35 Henry III (cf. C.Ch.R., I, p. 354 ; Monasticon, V, p. 696). Confirmation, witnesses, dated at Lyndhurst, 1 September 13 Edward I (cf. C.Ch.R., II, p. 322). Confirnation of the confirmstion of John de Warenne, Earl of Surrey, of the tillage in manor of Shire, and advowson of church of Shire, which Roger de Clare gave ; the quit claim of Robert de Vere, Earl of Oxford, of £20 rent for the manor of Manesbregge, now called Tounhull, Hampshire which they had of the Earl's gift ; the quit claim of Edmund, Earl of Cornwall, of view of frankpledge of their tenants of Northlegh etc. Witnesses, dated at Winchester, 20 March 4 Edward III (cf. C.Ch.R., IV, p. 169). Confirmation to Abbot and Convent of place of St. Edward, now called Lettele. Tested at Westminster, 20 February 1 Richard II (cf. C.P.R., 1377-1381, p. 135). Confirmation, tested at Westminster, 25 July 1 Henry IV (cf. C.P.R., 1399-1401, p. 329). Confirmation. (cf. CP.P.R., 1413-1416, p. 267). Great seal.
