Letters patent inspecting letters patent of Henry IV inspecting the following grants to Abbey of Brumore (1) Charter of Henry I confirming grant of Baldwin de Riueriis anf Hugh, his uncle, in vill of Brumore, land of Stanpett, 3 hides, church of Sopplei which Oric de Stanten gave and confirmed by Henry, Bishop of Winchester and Baldwin de Riveris, 1 a. in same vill, with 6 a. meadow and the church of Wittheber etc. and land adjoining, herbage in New Forest for 100 animals and 100 pigs. Witnesses, dated at Winchester (2) charter of Henry II confirming the same. Witnesses, dated at Clarendon (3) charter of Henry III confirming 17 a. land in the New Forest, assarted without warrant. Witnesses, dated at Westminster, 6 January 31 Henry III (cf. C.Ch.R., I, p. 311). (4) Letters patent of Edward II inspecting letters patent of Edward I granting the advowson of church of Brerdyngg in Isle of Wight. Tested at Evesham, 28 March 29 Edward I. Confirmation, tested at Westminster, 28 May 8 Edward II (cf. C.P.R?, 1292-1301 ; C.P.R., 1313-1317, p. 291). (5) letters patent of Eleanor, Queen of England, to enclose 4 a. per acram Baronum, in bailiwick of Godeshall. Dated at Winchester, 5 May 6 Edward I. Confirming same and grant of Amice de Rodueriis of manors of Rumbrigge and Langeleye, land in Melebrok. Witnesses, dated at Waltham, 6 Hwney IV. Confirmation, tested at Westminster, 4 February 2 Henry V. Confirmation. Great seal.
