Description

Letters patent granting licence, for fine of £200, by John de Moubray, to William de Brewosa, senior, to grant the manors of Knappe, Shorham, Horsham, Beawebusson and Brembre, and 3,000 a, wood in Brembre, co. Suss., to Richard Hakelut and William Moygne, clerk; also the manors of Fyndon, Wassyndon, Bedyng, West Grenested and Kyngesbarnes, same co., which Mary de Brewosa holds in dower. Licence to William de Brewosa to grant 40 knights fees in Westeneton, Chiltyngton, Sloght reford, Heen, Eryngham, Bradewater, Takham, Changeton, Launcynge, Annyngdon, Goryngelegh, Wodemancote, Morle, Treule, Suthewyk, Coumbes, Applesham, Oukham, Highurst, Offyngton, Horton, Shippele, Fyndon, Boddyngton, Spolspiche, la Felde, Shipcoumbe, Wernham, Cleye, Apseleye, Lowe, Wassyngton, Annynge, Crokhurst, Rousparre, Bidelingeton, Erugeham, Stenyng, Wopping, Thorne, Totyngton, Ewode and Brembre, which pertain to the manors of Knappe, Shorham, Horsham, Beawebusson and Brembre, and the reversion of 21¼ knights fees in Kyngeston, Shiremanbury, Wantele, Wolueley, Goseden, Sillyngton, Brodebrugge, Brambolden, Eselyngton, Clopham, Wodemancote, Morle, Trende, Suthewyk, Launcynge, Bungeton, Wappynge, Thorne, Totyngton, Ewode, Uhurst, Wassyndon, Bedyng, Westgrehested-and Kyngesbarnes. Sountynge, Muchelgrone, Liehe and Boulchom, which pertain to the manor of Fyndon be regranted to William de Brewosa, for life, with remainder to John de Moubray and Aline, his wife.
