Letters patent giving licence to John, Earl of Oxford, to alienate the manor of Cristsmalford, otherwise Cristen malford, co. Wilts., 40 messuages, 10 cottages 2 mills, 2 dovecotes, 40 gardens, 800 a. land, 200 a, meadow, 1,500 a. pasture, 400-500 a. wood, 200 a. heath and briar, and £10 rent in Cristsmalford, to Edward, Duke of Somerset, Michael Stanhopp kt., Thomas Darcy kt. and John Lucas esq., to use of Henry, son of Duke of Somerset, and Katherine, daughter and heir apparent of Earl of Oxford, and their heirs ; also manors of Chesham Higham and Chesham Bury, co. Bucks., 50 messuages, 3 mills, 3 dove cotes, 50 gardens, 50 orchards, 1,400 a. land 300 a. meadow, 3,000 a. pasture, 200 a. wood, 300 a. heath and briar, £5 rent in Chesham Higham and Chesham Bury ; also manors of Downham and Stansted monfychett, co, Essex, and 30 messuages, 8 cottages, a mill, 1,000 a. pasture, 400 a. wood, 200 a. heath and briar, and £6 rent in Downham, Stansted Monfychett and Burnell, co.
