Description

Letters patent exemplifying the enrolment of an indenture between John, late King of Castell and Legio and Duke of Lancaster, John, Bishop of Lincoln, Henry Bishop of Worcester, Robert de Aston, John Dipres kts and Nicholas Carreu, senior, and late Abbotand Convent of St. Mary Graces nigh Tower of London, and the memorandum of the same in Richard II's Chancery Rolls on foundation of the abbey by Edward III, lands etc. of vanue of 205 marks, the manor of Leybourne, Grauesende, with the advowsons of the churches, the manors of Lenches, Wateryngbury, co. Kent, manor of Netherheth ans Lemies, co. Surr. Dated at London, Feast of St. George the Martyr, 5 Richard II. The Duke came to the Chancery in Westminster and acknowledged the same, 8 February 20 Richard II. Inspeximus also of a deed of John de Bokyngham, late Bishop of Lincoln, ans memorandum in the rolls of Chancery, on manors of Bouetracey, Holdesworthy, Blakeden, Langacre, Ludford, Takeber' and Northlieu, with advowsons of the churches, cos. Devon, Somerset and Cornw. Dated in manor of Lidyngton, 20 May 20 Richard II. The Bishop came to Chancery at Westminster and acknowledged the same. Great seal.
