Letters patent, at prayer of Prior and Convent of Locus dei, Henton, co. Somerset, founded by Henry II, giving 50 marks annually to Prior and Convent of Carthusians, beyond sea in Savoy, which grant was confirmed by Richard I, Edward III, Henry IV and Henry V, which house surrendered the grant, and 19 July 24 Henry VI, granted to William Marchall, Prior of Henton, and the Convent, the said 50 marks ; £14 from subsidy and ulnage of cloth in co. Wilts. and in town of New Salisbury, £4-6-8 from issues of co. Wilts. and £15 from fee farm of Calne, co. Wilts., and a water mill in Calne, during life of Walter Hungerford kt., and after his death the 50 marks from the subsidy and ulnage of cloth co. Wilts and town of Salisbury. Grant to William Hatherlee, Prior of Henton, and the Convent of 50 marks as above. Great seal. Endorsement of enrolment in Memoranda of Exchequer, among the Recorda, Michaelmas term, 1 Edward IV, King's Remembrancer.
