Indenture of Lease. (1) Henry VIII, and (3) William Blitheman gent. King, by advice of Court of Augmentations, leases the house and site of late monastery of Monkebreton, co. York, with all houses etc. within site, close of meadow, 7 a., close of arable called Lambecrofte, 8 a., close of arable called the Leghe, 14 a., close of arable called Lyttell Leghe, 6 a., close of arable called the grette new close, 56 a., close of arable in the field called Fenell Flatte, 2 a. arable called the nyne landes, close of arable called the Hagge, 15 a., one le flatte called Lynghyll 2 a., another called le Shawflatte, 2 a., another called Hungre hyll, 2 a., another called Cudworthe broke, 1 a., another of arable called Esserte, 1 a., 3 flats in field called le Oldefelde knolle, 3 a., close called Dodrodeng meede. 12 a. close of pasture called Dodraclose, 9 a., parcel of land called Grassecrofte, 4 a. meadow called Hey botes, 6 a. pasture in field called Heywode, 6 a. pasture in field called Littell Inclose, 12 a. meadow in field called le Oldefelde, 7 a. pasture in le Overgaddingewoode, 12 a. meadow in nether gaddynge woode, a meadow called Daruerode mede, 10 a. parcel of arable called Routhe haye, 24 a., 4 les Rye flattes, 12 a. in common field, a pasture called Deruerode, 16 a., another pasture called Oxe pasture, 24 a., a close of pasture called Grasse lee, 8 a., a close of meadow called Ingle, 12 a., a close of meadow called carcenge, 14 a., a close of meadow called Whetwode, 10 a., a close called Westyeard, 2 a., all in p. of Rowston, co. York; also tithes of grain of Darton, Kegesworth, Birthwate Berghe and Hegham, co.
