Indenture of Lease. (1) Dame Dorothy Barlee, Abbess of Berkyng, co. Essex, and the Convent, and (2) Thomas Walys, of Berkyng, Joan, his wife, and Raff Marshall, of London, tallow chandler. Lease of marsh called Bakers Creke, in Rypplemershe, p. of Berkyng, 5 parcels of marsh ground of which 2 in a marsh called Estbury mersshe, the other 3 in the West mersshe of Berkyng, parcel of ground between St. Wylfreds Busshe and the Vynyierd, field called Almes Felde, 3 a., croft, garden, 2 a. land, 3 a. of cotland, a hope called Mylhope 30 years, £7-17-4 p.a. Tag. Endorsements of notes on surrender, signed Ry Sakevyle and of enrolment before Thomas Mildemaye, King's Auditor.
