Indenture of Agreement. (1) Sir Thomas Tey, of Oldholt co. Essex, kt., and (2) Robert Barfote, citizen and mercer of London. Tey, by indenture, 10 May 16 Henry VIII, sold to Barfote for £300 his manor of Hawkewoode co. Essex, and divers parcels of land called Godards Makynfelds, piece of land called Snoks and Snoks mede, parcels of lands at Barnards saye, toft and croft there 60½ a. wood in Hawkewoode. In default of mortgage Barfote to have premises. Seal ; signature Thomas Tey.
