Indenture of Sale. (1) Sir Arthur Plantagenet kt., Viscount Lisley, and (2) Sir William Holles, citizen and alderman of London. Lisley seised of manor of Chadder, Norton Beychamp, Lympisham, Tornoke, Saundeford Abell, and Brygwater, co. Somerset, and allmessuages etc. in same, late inheritance of Lady Elizabeth, Viscountess Lisley, dec., mother to Sir John Dudley kt. now levying to use of Lisley for life by award of Sir Thomas Awdeley kt., Lord Chancellor of England, and Thomas Cromwell esq., Chancellor of Exchequer, Chief Secretary to King and Master of Rolls, arbitrators appointed by Viscount Lisley and Sir Edward Dudley kt. Assignment to Dudley for Lisley's life for £120 p.a. by award dated 31 January 26 Henry VIII. Lisley for £424 paid by Holles assigns yearly rent of £120. Seal ; signature : Arthur Lyssle.
