Indenture of Sale. (1) William Sharyngton, Groom of King's Privy Chamber, and (2) Thomas Hynton, of Edescote, co. Wilts., yeoman. King, by letters patent, 3 November 34 Henry VIII, reciting that by indenture, under great seal of Court of Augmentations, between King and Hynton, 7 July 32 Henry VIII, by advice of that Court, leased messuage called the Erlescote, p. of Wenborowe, with lands etc., except great trees, 21 years, £10-6-8 p.a. : now for £2,094-8-6 sells the premises to William Sharyngton, and also manor called Erlescott, otherwise Erdescotte, p. of Wanborowe, otherwise Wenborowe, co. Wilts., and all lands etc. Sharyngton for £206-13-4 sells to Hynton, the messuage called Erlescott etc. Seal ; signature : Thomas Hynton.
