Indenture of Agreement. (1) Henry, Earl of Northumberland, and (2) Sir Edward Seymour, kt. Earl, by indenture, 8 July 24 Henry VIII, for £1,600 paid by Seymour, sale of manors of Ponyng Perchynge, Preston Ponynges, Waldren, Chyntyng and Pengdon, co. Suss. By another indenture, 9 July 24 Henry VIII, Seymour agreed that if Earl, at Michaelmas 1533, paid him £1,600 at the font in the Cathedral Church of St. Pauls, London, the sale to be void. Now agreed that if Earl defaults, to enjoy premises. Seal ; signature : H. Northumberland.
