Description

Indenture of Sale. (1) Edward, Duke of Somerset, Earl of Hertford, Lord Seymour, K.G., Earl Marshal of England and High Treasurer of the same, Governor of the King and Protector of his Realms, and (2) Sir John Williams, Treasurer of Court of Augmentations. Sale of site and house of late monastery of Thame, co. Oxf., late parcel of possessions of Robery Kyng, Bishop of Oxford., with all houses etc. within site, and lands etc. called Parrowhake, otherwise Padoke meade, Horse meade, Calfe Close, Cowyttynge, Smythhayes, Chapel Close and the Mylle Lease, otherwise Mylle Close, in p. of Thame, close of arable land called Cechyn Hyll, otherwise Kechamhyll, close adjoining, land called Holme Grove, all reversion of park called Beckeley Parke, in lordship of Beckeley, parcel of late Duchy of Cornwall, co. Oxf., and lands belonging. Seal ; signature : John Williams.
