Indenture of Sale. (1) Edward, Duke of Somerset K.G., Earl Hertford, Viscount Beauchampe, Lord Seymour, uncle to King, Earl Marshal of England and High Treasurer of the same, Lieutenant and Captain General of all the King's Wars by sea and land, Governorof King and Protector of his Realms, and (2) Sir William Willoughby kt., Lord Willoughby of Parham, and Sir Thomas Hennage kt. In recompense of the manor of Marshfeld and Chedder, sale by Duke of his manor of Stowe, co. Lincs. late parcel of possessions of Henry, Bishop of Lincoln, and lands in Stowe, Normanby, Marton Gate, Burton, Laughtereton, Brampton, Fenton, Kettlethorpe, Upton, Kexby, Knethe, Hevenyng, Bransby, Willyngham, Harwykke Erneby, Sturton and Yolthorpe, co. Lincs. 2 tags, 1 seal, signatures : William Wyllughby, Thomas Hennage. 2 skins.
