Description

Indenture of Sale. (1) John, Duke of Northumberland, Earl of Warwick, and Earl Marshal of England, Viscount Lysley, Baron of Malpas, Someray, Bassett Tyas and Lord of Dudley, Grand Master and Steward of King's Household, President of his Council and General Warden of all Marches of England towards Scotland, and (2) Simon Clare, of Blakesware, co. Hertf., servant of the Duke. King by letters patent, 9 July 3 Edward VI, granted to Northumberland as Warwick, pasture called Upton and Upton Olde, in lordship of Blockley, late parcel of possessions of Bishopric of Worcester. Sale to Clare of the same. Seal, signature : Symond Clare.
