Indenture to Uses. (1) Sir Nicholas Vaus kt., and Dame Anne, his wife, and (2) Sir Thomas Cheyne kt. Thomas Vaus, son and heir apparent of Sir Nicholas and Dame Anne, to marry Elizabeth, duaghter and heir apparent of Sir Thomas Cheyne, when Thomas is 17.Sir Thomas Cheyne to leave in his Will the manors of Brenbroughton, with the advowson of the church, Hawton, Bekeryng, Hawton upon Humbre and Wynterton, co. Lincs., manprs of Lowdham, Laxton, Billisthorp, Carcolston, and Hyklyng, with the advowson of Billis thorp, co. Notts., the manor of Irtlingburgh, co. Northants., with the advowson of the college there, which Dame Anne, the wife of Sir Thomas Cheyne, has for life. Also manor of Pightesley, co. Northants. Sir Nicholas and Dame Anne to pay Sir Thomas Cheyne £1,000 (in two instalments) and to make an estate of lands etc. to yesrly value of 200 marks. Seal and signature of Sir Thomas Cheyne.
