Indenture of Assignment to uses. between (1) John Meyre, of Meyre, co. Chester, esq., and (2) William Meyre, son and heir apparent of John Meyre, and (3) Thomas Leigh, of Adlyngton, co. Chester, esq., William Brereton, of Handford, co. Chester, esq., Alexander Barlowe, of Barlowe, co. Lanc., esq., and William Newton, of Pownall, co. Chester, gent., of a lease for 82 years, 3 June 5 Elizabeth I, by the Dean and Chapter 81 Christ Church, Oxford, of capital house etc., parcel of rectory and parsonage of Rotherston, in Netherknottesford, co. Chester, and tithes of Overknottesford, Netherknottesford, Bexton, Tofte, Ollerton, Marthall, and Sudlowe, parcel of rectory and parsonage of Rotherston, late in holding of William Heyfeld, dec., and then in tenure of Humffrey Bate, esq., and tithes in North Brery, parcel of same rectory, late in tenure of John Leigh, kt., dec., tithes in High Leigh, Mosse Howses, Northwodd and Swynehead, parcel of same rectory, in tenure of Rauffe Holford, John Heyfeld, and Nicholas Peycock, dec: rent £27, 13. 4. p.a.; all conveyed on 29 March 24 Elizabeth I to Thomas Leigh, William Leycester of Tofte, esqs, and William Brereton and by indenture 20 April 24 Elizabeth I (hereby revoked) assigned to Thomas Leighe, John Wyllyntonm, of Willinton, gent., John Creswall, of Langley, gent., William Massye, of Deanfild, gent., Hugh Massye, of Rothstorne, gent., and Thomas Page, son and heir apparent of Roger Page, gent., to uses.
