Indenture of Sale, by William Kirkham and Thomas Kirkham, of Grays Inn, co. Middx., gents., to John Mere, of Mere, co. Chester, esq., and Henry More, of Weley, co. Chester, servant to John Mere, of lands newly enclosed called the Intacke, in Upton, Sutton and Wimbell, otherwise Wynckell, Rudheath, Wartons Ambo, Over, Danam, Ranowe, Bolington, Newtons, Ranmore otherwise Ravensmore, and Haghton, co. Chester; lands etc. newly enclosed called the Intacke, in Hawkes moore, Utlington, Clotten, Helsey, Manley, Aveley, Ashton, Mowlesworth, Norley, Kynnesley, Dodden, Kelsowe, Tarway, Sheltwich, Caponhurst, Shotwick, Willison, Little Cuddington, Budworth, Rishton, Gaton, Edesbury, Hardinge, Mynshawe, Warbsonne, Chamson, Stoke, Ashton, Disley, Ashton Moseley, Calmeley, Wardell, Caveley, Wymbesley, Croton, Helshby, Wetnall, Saylle, Crostrete Waley and Taxall, co. Chester; 3a. land in Denham, Maxfield, Plomley, Hougst, Lostock, Holford, Nether Pever, Marpole and Kettlesonne, all granted (inter alia) by patent 15 June 29 Elizabeth I. Rents payable to Queen: 3s. p.a. for lands in Upton etc.; 4s. p.a. for lands etc. in Hawkes moore etc.; 2s. 6d. p.a. for chantry in Disley etc.; 20d. p.a. for chantry of Chadrick etc.; 2s. p.a. for chantry called Maxfield etc.
