Chester, the elder, to Richard Clutton, of the Wiche, and Henrie Wickested, of the same town, the elder, of the following leases: (1) 12 April 20 Elizabeth I by Robert Nedham of Shavington, co. Salop, to Jasper Rutter, a messuage in Hackegreene, in Badington, co. Chester, called the Hackehowse, then in occupation of Jasper, also pastures of Bromleyffeildes in Bromall, co. Chester, or within Badington, and croft adjoining called Litle Bromleyffeilde, or Litle Myckley, then in tenure of Jasper Rutter, and before of Roger Hockenhull and William Kelsall, also pasture in Badington or Austaston, co. Chester, called Rougheffeilde, then in occupation of Jasper Rutter, pasture in Badington, called Orcharde Crofte, adjoining messuage of John Sproston, late in tenure of Laurence Wright, and before of Margaret Tyrrie, widow; for lives of Jasper Rutter, the elder, John Rutter and Jasper Rutter, the younger. (2) 2 April 25 Elizabeth I by Richard Walthull, of Wiche Malbanke, to Jasper Rutter, the elder, 2 closes near Shrobridge, co. Chester, and cottage in Wiche Malbanke, for lives of John Rutter, Jasper Rutter and Robert Rutter, sons of Jasper Rutter, the elder. (3) 17 May 3 and 4 Philip and Mary, by Richard Hurleston, of Pickton, co. Chester, gent., for 50 years, to Sir William Smeydie, late of Bradwall, co. Staff., kt., lately dec., messuage etc. in lordship of Newton: co. Chester, or within the Townefield, without the north gate of Chester, and parcels of ground in Newton; 2 lands of ground of yearly rent of 8s. 2d., sometime in holding of William Dannolde, of Chester; close lying near Fluckers Brooke, of yearly rent of 6s.; 3 parcels of another close, of yearly rent of 2s., adjoining to the Ruke and Fluckers Brooke, then or late in occupation of Sir William Moiety only of these last named parcels.
