The Feature Articles Service was formed by the British Council from the mid-1950s to the mid-1970s, to commission feature articles to support council manifestations, to commemorate special anniversaries, and to provide high-quality literary and cultural articles by eminent specialists for publication in the most reputable overseas periodicals. The British Council, by agreement with the authors, holds all overseas rights in the feature articles.
