Description

Commission from James, Duke of Monmouth, Chief Justice, and Justice Itinerant of all His Majesty's forests, chaces, and parks on this side the Trent, and Keeper of the beasts of said forests, chaces, &c., to "my very noble Lord and worthy friend, AnthonyEarl of Shaftesbury, Lord High Chancellor of England," appointing him his deputy, 26th February 1672-3.
