Land, assessed, and property and income taxes; commissioners;, assessors' and collectors' papers; duplicates (parchment) of assessment, certificates, taxpayers' returns for assessment, discharges, collectors' instructions, official correspondence, etc. 1 packet See also PRO 30/23/5/4 for a printed form of [1834]. Serjeants' Inn formed a separate taxing district and and the commissioners concerned were the serjeants of the Inn, the assessors and collectors being, apparently, their clerks (1831-1832; 1839-1849).
