Notes, drawings, engravings (by J. Ruffowes), paintings, woodcuts, relating to genealogy, heraldry, Knighthood, precedence etc., English and foreign. These and other similar documents in S.P. Miscellaneous probably belonged to the collection of William Ryley, Lancaster Herald (d. 1667), bought by Sir Joseph Williamson and left by him to the State Paper Office.
