In the Colonial Office library's map catalogue, these maps were arbitrarily distinguished using the numbers 2, 3 and 1. The current item numbering (1, 2 and 3) was applied by the Public Record Office's conservators. The online catalogue entries originally used the old numbering; this was corrected in April 2018.
