Copy of Instructions from Lord Dorchester to Captain Gother Mann to survey the fortifications at Ontario, Niagara, Erie, Detroit and Michilimakinac, with Captain Mann's Report, dated 6 December 1788, thereon, accompanied by the following plans. MS.:- A. Sketch of Kingston Harbour. 13½ chains to 1 inch. B. Plan of Torento Harbour with the proposed Town and part of its Township. 2 inches to 1 mile. C. Plan of the River from Niagara to Fort Schlosser and duplicate of same. 2 inches to 1 mile. D. Plan of the entrance of the River from Lake Erie to Detroit. 600 yards to 1 inch. D. Duplicate of the above, showing the Situations proposed for a Town and Naval Yard opposite the Isle aux Bois Blanc, near the entrance of the Narrows leading from Lake Erie to Detroit, with the Works necessary for the protection of the same and to command the Navigable Channel. 600 yards to 1 inch. E. Sketch of Lake Huron, with Falls of St. Mary and Matchadosh Bay. About 14 miles to 1 inch. Quebec
