Description

'Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and its Connections': diagrammatic map, also showing, lakes, rivers and shipping routes. Reference table distinguishing the company's own lines, those over which it has running powers, and other lines. Scale not shown. Lithographed by Henry Blacklock & Co Ltd, Manchester, June 1907. The dorse bears detailed maps showing the docks at Fleetwood, Liverpool and Goole, a map showing railways in Ireland (scale: 1 inch to about 37 miles) and a map showing railway connections in Europe as far south-east as Belgrade (Beograd, Serbia). Company advertisements appear on both the face and the dorse, some bearing the name of John A F Aspinal, General Manager. A separate sheet bears a map of Manchester, with further advertisements on the dorse. This map differs in many points of detail from the later RAIL 1030/34 and RAIL 1030/35.
