'Plan of the Great Western Railway, London Division': map and section of the line between London Paddington and Steventon, Berkshire (now in Oxfordshire), also showing other railways; distances measured from Paddington Canal Bridge. Scale: 1 inch to 3 miles (horizontal); 1 inch to 250 feet [1:3,000] (vertical). Reduced from Ordnance Survey mapping and drawn by G Alfred Jermyn; engraved by Richard Palmer. Published by the Great Western Railway Company, June 1838. The Great Western Railway line is highlighted in coloured ink. A label of the Great Western Railway Central Records Office, affixed to the case, is annotated 'Plan 114'. A typescript label affixed to the case states: 'Presented to the Company by Mr H J Rule, formerly of the Office of the Superintendent of the Line, February 5 1935 See CR 23/1'. RAIL 1030/17 is a continuation westward of this map.
