[Ordnance Survey one-inch Old Series England and Wales: parts of sheets LXXVII NE and SE, LXXVIII NW, NE SW and SE, LXXIX NW, NE, SW and SE, and LXXX NW and SW] joined to form a map of the north coast of Wales and part of the Wirral peninsula. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. All marginalia have been trimmed away. Manuscript additions, in coloured ink, show the line of the Chester & Holyhead Railway from the Chester and Birkenhead Railway at Chester, to Holyhead (Caergybi); A section of the railway line, identifying each of the 14 contracts by number, is joined to the lower edge of the map; scale: 1 inch to 1 mile (horizontal), 1 inch to 160 feet [1:1,920]; lithographed by Standedge & Co; cuttings and embankments coloured in ink. The combined sheet has been cut vertically into two parts just west of Llansanffraid Glan Conwy.
