'Bristol and Exeter Railway connecting the Western Counties with London and the North': [?proof copy of] a map covering the area between Peterborough in the north-east and St Austell (Cornwall) in the south-west; also showing the Great Western Railway main line from London and Cheltenham, the Great Western Union lines (forming a junction near Cheltenham with a line to Birmingham) and other railways. The space for a reference table has been left blank. No scale shown. [By] Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Engineer. Inscribed on the dorse: 'Presented by Elias Ford, Chief Goods Manager, November 1930'. Label of the Great Western Railway affixed, giving the catalogue number B212 in the company's collection of exhibits at Paddington Station.
