Description

Correspondence from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and individuals on matters relating to British Guiana. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

Offices:

  • House of Commons (parliamentary question relating to possible survey and development of parts of colony);
  • Admiralty (cost of construction and maintenance of vessels of 'Mosquito' type);
  • Crown Agents (recovery of Mr Gibson's passage money, explanation of appointment of Mr Gibson as gold commissioner, agreement with Mr Joseph H Clarke erector of Canje Creek Bridge, payment of scholarships of Messrs J H K and E R D Moulder, selection of Mr A G Bell as assistant engineer, Mr R P Stewart's scholarship, Mr A G Bell's agreement as assistant engineer);
  • Privy Council Office (order in council continuing privileges of Combined Court);
