Description

Offices and individuals. Letters received from various government offices (departments), other organisations and individuals relating to British Guiana during the year 1869. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

Offices:

  • Admiralty (visit of R Mundy);
  • Crown Agents (superannuation allowances of A F David and W Fox, salary of Mr Justice Newton, F W Austin, E N Walter, E H G Dalton, H P Plummer, G P Wells and I Lucie-Smith, superannuation and annuity of W Knight);
  • Foreign Office (appointment of D A F Walker to be Venezuelan Consul at Demerara, J Benni, property of I Van der Horst, A Livi, recognition of Netherlands Consul at Georgetown J Meyers as Acting for the Consul of the North German Federation, appointment of H le Daux to be French Vice Consul at Demerara, estate of F Bertozzini, appointment of L Sailor to be Consul for Demerara, birth certificate for F M C Germon);
  • General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (welfare of the Church of Scotland in British Guiana, formation of a Presbytery of British Guiana, vacancy in the parish of All Saints, Berbice, recommendations of J B Dalgety, appointment of Dalgety to the parish of All Saints, recommendation of A F Wilson to the vacancy in the parish of St Luke's);
