Certificate to Edward I from R[oger Longespee] bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, in response to a writ dated 25 January 1276 attested by Roger Seyton, that church of Measham (Meisham) [Derbyshire] belongs to the priory of Repton (Derbyshire) as a chapel pertaining to the priory by the gift and grant of Matilda, countess of Chester, the appropriation of Walter [Durdent] bishop of Coventry, and the confirmation of Richard [Peche] bishop of Coventry and Lichfield and Richard [of Dover] archbishop of Canterbury, following a plea between the prior and Roger de Monte Alto before the king's justices at Westnminster.
