Description

Letters patent of Roger [de Northburgh], bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, licensing the appropriation to the abbot and convent of Whalley [Whalleye] (Lancashire), following his visitation of the archdeaconry of Chester, of the parish churches of Eccles (Lancashire), Rochdale [Rachedale] (Lancashire), Whalley (Lancashire) and Blackburn [Blakeburn'] (Lancashire), with their chapels, the entitlement to which, and appropriation thereof, they had claimed during the visitation.
