Documents concerning the dispute as to the right of election of a prior of the cathedral priory of Winchester (Hampshire).
Letter of John Dureville, prior of St Swithun's, Winchester, to Edward I assuring him that he and the convent will submit themselves wholly to the arbitration of William of Southampton, prior provincial of the friars Preachers in England, and Antony Bek, archdeacon of Durham, in the resolution of their dispute with Nicholas [of Ely], bishop of Winchester.
