Exhibition by William de Bispham, monk of Vale Royal abbey (Cheshire), proctor of the Cistercian Order in England, before Roger de Dauenporth, official of the archdeacon of Chester, of a bull issued by Pope Alexander III [1159-1181], to the benefit of the Cistercian Order, the transcript of which had been drawn up by John Broune, notary public of the diocese of Meath, at the abbey of St. Mary, Mellifont, in the diocese of Armagh [Ireland] on 20 August 1368, in the presence of Master John de Dutton', Sir Richard de Swanlowe, vicar of Frodsham (Cheshire), Thomas Ragon' and John Lemestr', laymen of the diocese of Chester. Bispham acts with John de Radburn', monk of Vale Royal, as attorneys for the abbey in all cases to be brought by and against the abbey [2 August 1380].
