Description

Grant of confraternity by John [Heslington] abbot of Roche (Yorkshire WR) to Robert Dine, prior, and the congregation of the Carthusian priory of the Isle of Axholme (Epworth (Lincolnshire), in return for the many kindnesses continually shown by them. Each priest of Roche will say three requiem masses for each recently deceased member of the Axholme community over and above the twenty masses de Deus venie for those unknown who have died. Witnesses: Henry Cundall; John Harper; Nicholas Collys; Thomas Cundall; Richard Fyshburne; Thomas Tivell; John Dodworth; Thomas Acworth; Henry Wylsun; Christopher Addison; Christofer Conyest; William Carter; Robert Reni, William Hela; John Huland; monks of Roche.
