Injunctions at the Augustinian houses of Owston abbey (Leicestershire) and Barlinch priory (Somerset). Owston: injunctions for augmenting the number of canons, the sustenance of the infirm and the provision of food in the refectory for all except the sub-prior, steward and the old canon Richard Lylle, for the prevention of canons frequenting taverns in suspect places or leaving the monastery for more than one day without licence. Barlinch: injunctions for augmenting the number of canons, forbidding the canons leaving the monastery for more than one day without licence, or generally for recreation, the provision of food in the refectory for all where one canon is to give a reading, forbidding a canon to keep a servant or boy, for observing silence and using signs as appropriate, and imposing penalties for disobedience to the prior and for committing criminal acts outwith the priory.
