The files cover all aspects of tariff and import policy and include files on the European Economic Community (EEC), General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) negotiations, UNESCO agreements, Commonwealth preference schemes, anti-dumping measures and customs duties; and imports of agricultural products including sugar.
In January 1960 a new registry series was introduced. The TIP prefix was used for both policy files and annual case files. In September 1963 these were succeeded by the T prefix, but the numbering system continued, i.e. TIP 7557 is followed by T 7558.
