Register of the Vice-Admiralty Court of New York, held for the Province of New York, at the city of New York, 6 February 1778 to 9 October 1778.
The record of prize hearings before the court, apparently written up in full from the notes in the assignation books (which continue beyond the sessions recorded in this volume, up to 10 July 1783).
The sessions appear to be have been held frequently, two or three times a week, with an increasing level of business.
