Description

Bail bonds for the issue of 65 letters of marque to Loyalist privateers (previously marked as bundle 2).

(Described at item level).

Other miscellaneous papers have been moved out to the relevant ship files in HCA 32 as follows:-

  • Bundle 1) Prize papers for the captured ship Zamire, taken by HMS Pearl (John Linzee commanding), and brought into New York: transferred to HCA 32/491 in 2022.
  • Bundle3) Appraisements and some sales of the ship and cargoes of prizes.
  • Bundle4) Monitions in Prize cases.
