Description

Bouillon Papers: Papers of Philip d'Auvergne, Prince de Bouillon, administrateur des secours accordés aux émigrès and (from 1808) C. in C. of H.M. ships at Guernsey and Jersey. Entry book: To War Office: Substances of communications and intelligences received at Jersey from Britanny from November 1798 to January 1801 with information about the movements of the French fleet, promotion of officers and the political views of Bretons; This book starts with a sketch, by Prince de Bouillon, ‘of the intrigues that have introduced the decline and almost complete extinction of the Royalist Party in the Provinces of Bretagne and Bas-Maine, transmitted to Messrs Dundas, and Windham, 12 October 1798’. (21 pages)
