'Carte der Europaëïschen Türkey nebst einem Theile von Kleinasien'. Map showing European Turkey and Asia Minor. Twenty-two sheets. Map shows place names, battlefields, places where peace concluded, depths, anchorages, roads, wayside crosses, caravan stops, castles, inns, post offices, residences, spas, factories, in area between 16° and 29°30'E, extended to show Rijeka and Odessa; and between 33°20'N and 48°10'N. Beneath the title Turkish soldiers and civilians are shown opposite Constantinople. Reference table. Statistical table. Table of geographical points. Scale: 6.2 inches to 55 miles; scale bars also in German, Turkish, Russian, French and Italian units. Insets of Smyrna, Belgrade, Butrinto, Rhodes, 'Navarin' [Pylos], Bosporus and Constantinople, Dardanelles, Isthmus of Corinth, 'Prevesa' [Preveza] and Gulf of Arta, 'Canal der Dardanellen von Lepanto' [Rion Strait]. Designed and drawn by Lieutenant Franz von Weiss, Austrian army. Published by the Austrian Quarter Master General's Staff, 1829. Dimensions: each sheet 42 cm x 63 cm; index sheet 19 cm x 4.5 cm on sheet 39 cm x 52 cm.
