United States of America: Maine: 'An Accurate Map of the District of Maine, Being Part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, ...Exhibiting the boundary lines of the District; the Counties and Towns, the principal Roads, Rivers, Mountains, Mines, Islands, Rocks, Shoals, Channels, Lakes, Ponds, Falls, Mills, Manufactures and Public Buildings, with the Latitudes and Longitudes'. 2 sheets. Map shows land grants. Title in rococo cartouche with an eagle above, with ships and a lighthouse lower left. Yellow border. Table of symbols used. Figures in each town area show distances from the County town and from Boston. Scale: 1 inch to 6 miles. Compass star. Compiled from actual surveys by Osgood Carleton. Boston, published and sold by O Carleton and J Norman. Sold also by William Norman, 75 Newbury Street. Folded in a case with the label of the Quartermaster General's Department.
