Ukraine: Crimea. '......Military Topographical Map of the Krima Peninsula...'. Map on ten sheets in a portfolio, with an index map. Scale: 1 inch to 2.65 miles. Explanatory notes, population table. Prepared by Major Thomas Best Jervis, Royal Engineers, from original surveys carried out by Major General Mukhin in 1816 and engraved and printed at the Russian Military Topographical Depot 1817. Entered at Stationers Hall 20 May 1854. Dedicated to Queen Victoria. A table of Russian characters, both written and printed with phonetic explanation and equivalent English letters, is attached to the inside of the front cover of the portfolio.
