Malta: Valletta. Two maps: (1) 'Malta Abercrombie's Bastion revision for Two 6" B.L. [Breach Loading] Guns Mark VII C.P. Mtng. Mark II'. Top plan, upper and under floor plans, detail of number 1 emplacement, and sections. Scale: plans: 1 inch to 10 feet; sections and detail: 1 inch to 5 feet. Compass indicator. Corrections 1901. (2) Admiralty chart 974: 'Mediterranean Malta Valletta Harbours', with coloured manuscript additions showing gun ranges from Fort St Elmo. List of abbreviations.Table of bearings. Scale: 1:4,854. Compass roses.Topographical features and outer soundings chiefly taken from survey by Captains Graves and Spratt, Royal Navy, 1852-1860.Surveyed by Staff Commander John Millard, Royal Navy, 1878-1881.Additions by Commander Dawson and officers of HMS Sylvia, 1887.Engraved by Edward Weller.Published at the Admiralty, 31 December 1888.Compass variation 1894.Corrections 1894-99.Dimensions: (1) 119 cm x 74 cm; (2) 66 cm × 94 cm.
