'Malta Plan of Valetta plotted from the books of the contoured survey. 1861'. Plan shows buildings and defences. Three photographs, one of the waterfront facing the Grand Harbour, are affixed to lower edge. Compass star. Inset: 'Plan of No. 3 Guard Room St. Gregory's Gate'. Table of construction details. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet. Surveyed, plotted and drawn by Superintendent T Corden, Royal Engineers. Levelled by Corporal J G Clarke, Royal Engineers. Signed by Captain E L Bland, Royal Engineers, December 1862. Additional notes, 1895-1897. This plan was requested by War Office letter of 7 December 1876.
