'Plan of the Fortress of Malta'. Sheets 9-16, with a second, coloured copy each of sheets 12, 15 and 16. Table of place name elements on sheet 13. Compass star in the form of Maltese cross on sheet 14. Inset plan of rifle range at St George's Bay on sheet 16. Surveyed by the Royal Engineers, 1858-1862, under the direction of Lieutenant [E H] Steward, Captains [F H] Rich and [E L] Bland, and Lieutenant Colonel [R M] Laffan, all Royal Engineers. Sheets 9, 12, 13, 15 (coloured copy) and 16 zincographed at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, under the supervision of Captain [R M] Parsons, Royal Engineers, 1868. Sheets 11 and 15 (monochrome copy) zincographed and printed at the School of Military Engineering, Chatham, under the direction of Captain S M Maycock, Royal Engineers, 1884.
