Malta: Valletta. Three plans. 'Malta Proposed Battery for 6-12 Pr. [Pounder] Q.F. [Quick Fire] Guns below St. Lazarus Curtain ... July 1896'. (1) top plan; (2) sections. Scale: plan: 1 inch to 10 feet; sections: 1 inch to 5 feet. Compass indicator. Initialled by J F, 15 July 1896. Title on each sheet amended in pencil to read: 'Tryon Battery' instead of 'St. Lazarus Curtain'. (3) 'Malta St. Lazarus Curtain 12 Pr. [Pounder] Q.F. [Quick Fire] Emplacements'. Overlay, on tracing cloth, showing variations. Scale: 1 inch to 10 feet. Dimensions: (1) and (2) 72.5 cm x 129 cm; (3) 29 cm x 47 cm.
