Channel Islands: Jersey. Outline map of the island showing War Department property; also shows numbered grids, apparently the sheetlines of 1:500-scale maps of the environs of Saint Helier and of certain forts. Reference table. Scale: [?5 inches to about 3 miles]. Compass indicator. The 1:500-scale maps surveyed and drawn by the Royal Engineers, 1874 and 1878; this map was probably drawn fairly soon after the survey was completed. Signed by Lieutenant Colonel Bland, Commanding Royal Engineer. Pencilled additions numbering certain buildings; reference table in faint pencil.
